MOD-TC-MK2-31855 is an upgrade over MOD-TC in a lot of ways. It comes with firmware allowing easier I2C interfacing to host boards via simple UEXT connection. The firmware is available for tweaking. MOD-TC-MK2-31855 now featurs MAX31855 for handling the thermocouple and PIC16F1503 for loading different firmware or storing information etc
