Details
This is the small 'serial interface' PCB that uses a PICAXE-18M2 chip to drive an LCD or OLED module (supplied as a self asssembly kit). The included PICAXE-18M2 chip is provided pre-programmed with the open-source AXE133 firmware, which allows this on-board 18M2 chip to act as a 'slave' serial driver for a LCD or Winstar OLED display. This AXE132 kit is exactly the same as supplied in the full AXE133Y kit, but does not include any LCD or OLED module.
The 18M2 supplied is pre-programmed with the LCD firmware, reprogram for OLED modules (OLED firmware)
The control codes are identical to our popular AXE033 module, so this kit can be used as an alternative to the AXE033. On this board the slave chip is a completely normal 18M2, so it can also be reprogrammed whenever you want (e.g. to change the power-up welcome message or even temporarily 'borrowed' for another project!).
